The Steep wall is a 518.9 -meter-high mountain ridge in the southwestern part of the Harz in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

Geography

It is located about 3 kilometers north-east of Herzberg am Harz and falls on her northern and north- western slopes steeply into the valley of the Sieber. To the east it merges into the Hoexter mountain. The Steep wall is completely wooded, on the steep north side with coniferous forest and on the south side with the deciduous forest and comb. On the steep northwest slope there is a disused quarry.
