Stellate cell

Stellate cell as different cell types are referred to in the anatomy and histology:

• Kupffer cells ( old name Kupffer stellate cell ), a special form of phagocytes, which rest the sinusoids of the liver,
• Stellate cell ( cerebellum ) is not axially structured, inhibitory interneurons in the molecular layer of the cerebellar cortex, which act as switching cells,
• Certain interneurons in certain layers of the cerebral cortex,
• Astrocytes (also called spider cells), numerically significant part of the neuroglia.
