Stellvia

Uchū no Stellvia (Japanese宇宙のステルヴィア, Uchū no Suteruvia ) is an anime series. The sci-fi series was first aired in 2003.

Action

In 2176, an electromagnetic particle wave put out almost all life on Earth. 180 years later, the impact of a second wave is imminent, however, the people of this time have prepared. The peoples of the world have joined forces and gigantic space stations and shields erected, intended to protect the earth.

On the way to Stellvia, one of these space stations, is the sixteen year old Shima Katase (片 瀬 志 麻, Katase Shima ) who wants to start their education there. She befriends with Arisa Glennorth and other students. You will experience a number of adventures.

Formation and Publications

The 26 episodes of the series originated in the animation studio XEBEC. As a director acted Tatsuo Satō, who took over this activity previously in the series Nadesico.

The first broadcast of Uchū no Stellvia television in Japan was held from September 25, 2003 on TV Tokyo from April 2. Subsequently, the series was released on eight DVDs. Geneon drove the anime in the United States.

Adaptations

A strategy game for the PC and in 2004 a PlayStation 2 game and a Game Boy Advance Game 2003: Based on the anime series several video games appeared.

The manga artist Ryo Akizuki set the action to the manga series. This was published from 2003 to 2004 in individual chapters in the manga magazine Dengeki Comic Daio, where at that time, among other things Barasuis strawberries & marshmallows appeared. The Media Works publishing house brought this single chapter out in two anthologies. DrMaster moved the anthologies in English.
