Stelvio Cipriani

Stelvio Cipriani ( born August 20, 1937 in Rome ) is an Italian film composer.

Life

Cipriani studied piano at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and traveled first as a pianist on cruise ships. Upon his return to Italy he accompanied, among others, Rita Pavone; in the late 1950s and early 1960s he resided in the United States, where he played with Dave Brubeck.

1966 Cipriani has composed the soundtrack for the spaghetti westerns Without dollars no coffin, since then he has composed for over 200 films. He worked mainly in Italy but also wrote the music for the Hollywood co-production film The polyp - the beast with the death arms with John Huston and Henry Fonda in the lead roles. In addition to Western, he also wrote for various other genres such as horror and action movies.

2007 was the Quentin Tarantino one of his plays in Death Proof.
