Steph Cook

Stephanie Cook ( born February 7, 1972 in Irvine, North Ayrshire, Scotland ) is a former modern pentathlete and Olympic champion.

With two years her parents moved with her from her native Scotland to Bedford. She attended Bedford High School, The Perse School for Girls, the, Peterhouse, Cambridge and finally the Lincoln College, Oxford, where she studied medicine.

After her Olympic win, she was awarded in 2001 to the year 2000 with the title MBE. In 2008 she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bath.
