Stephan Mathieu

Stephan Mathieu ( born October 11, 1967 in Saarbrücken ) is a German musician and sound artist.

Mathieu's work is based on digital and analog processing techniques. He creates audio installations, compositions in the area of ​​electro-acoustics, and taught between 2000 and 2005 digital art at the HBK Saar and as a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Arts in Göteborg, the Bauhaus University Weimar and the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart.

His compositions have been released on numerous labels since 1999, including 12k, ritornello, Falls or the box. He is currently (December 2011 ), together with Akira Rabelais, Taylor Deupree, David Sylvian, Robert Hampson and Sylvain Chauveau.
