Stephan von Breuning ( born November 21, 1894 in Vienna, † March 11, 1983 in Paris) was a German entomologist, which refers to the Lamiinae, a subfamily of the longhorn beetle, specialized.

Life and work

Stephan von Breuning worked at the Muséum national d' histoire naturelle in Paris, the Museum Georg Frey in Tutzing (now the beetle collection Frey Basel Natural History Museum ) and the Natural History Museum in Vienna. He described nearly half of all currently known types of Lamiinae.
