Stephanie Brown Trafton

Stephanie Brown Trafton ( born December 1, 1979 in San Luis Obispo as Stephanie Brown) is an American Olympic champion in discus throw.

Initially active as a shot putter, she qualified in 2004 with a second place finish at the U.S. elimination fights ( Trials ) for the discus throw competition at the Olympic Games in Athens, however, different in the qualifier.

In 2008, she increased her personal best to 66.17 meters and finished third at the U.S. Trials. At the Olympics in Beijing she won with 64.74 m, where they had on the bronze medal over one meter lead on Yarelis Barrios (CUB ) on the silver and over two meters Olena Antonova on (UKR ).

Stephanie Brown Trafton is 1.93 meters tall and weighs 102 kg. She works in the information technology department of the company Sycamore Environmental Consulting and lives in Galt, California.
