Stephen Curry (basketball)

Wardell Stephen Curry II ( born March 14, 1988 in Akron, Ohio ) is an American professional basketball player. He is the former NBA player Dell Curry 's son.

Life

Curry attended the Christian School in Charlotte and is the best pitcher of all time school with over 1,700 points. Curry was all -state, all -conference and team MVP as he led his team to three conference titles and three state playoff appearances. He attended the High School at Queensway Christian College in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, and led his team to a season without defeat. Curry finished his senior season with a throw ratio of over 48% from 3 -point distance. Despite his success at the high school he received a scholarship from a major -conference school. After he had received offers from Davidson College, Virginia Commonwealth and Winthrop, viewed Curry decided on the Davidson College, a college that had won since 1969, no game in the NCAA Tournament.

Career

He was elected on 25 June 2009 in NBA Draft 2009, 7 out of the Golden State Warriors. For his achievements in the first year as a pro Curry All- Rookie First Team was called to the NBA. When choosing the Rookie of the Year, he finished second behind Tyreke Evans. He took part in the 2011 NBA Skills Challenge where he finished in 1st place.

On February 27, 2013 posted Curry, in the 109-105 defeat of his Warriors against the New York Knicks, a Karrierekord of 54 points. This was the fourth highest points total at Madison Square Garden, Carmelo Anthony (62 points), Kobe Bryant (61 points) and Michael Jordan (55 points). He met in this game with 11 three- point shot hits the second highest three-point yield NBA history. The first place went to continue Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall (both with 12 hits ).

In the 2012/13 season Curry improved the previously held by Ray Allen record for successful three-point throws during the regular season to 272

2014 Curry was first appointed as a starter for the Western Conference in the NBA All -Star Game.
