Stephen M. Tiru

Stephen M. Tiru ( born December 1, 1937 in Sardikal / Khunti, † March 3, 2012 in Khunti, Jharkhand ) was an Indian clergyman and Bishop of Khunti.

Life

Stephen M. Tiru received on 4 May 1969, the ordination. Pope John Paul II appointed him on 18 April 1986 Bishop of Dumka. Stephen M. Tiru died after a long illness in his episcopal residence in Khunti. At his funeral was attended by eleven bishops and over 500 priests and more than 10,000 believers.
