StepStone

StepStone is a online job board, which is aimed at professionals and executives. The company is a subsidiary of Axel Springer AG. The company's headquarters is located in Dusseldorf, we also have branches in Berlin, Kiel, Hamburg and Munich.

History

The company was founded in 1996 under the name of job shop in Oslo. Two years later, the entry into the German market, in this context, the acquisition of three other companies. 2000, the company was renamed StepStone and went to Oslo to the stock market. Since 2008, StepStone is part of the Axel Springer AG.

After a relaunch of the site in 2010, followed in 2011 by the integration step match, a developed jointly with scientists at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich semantic search technology. To this end, the job search engine Jobanova was taken to 100 %.

Operation and design

The main page is divided into three areas Job Search, Career and Career Advice and the members " My StepStone ". All jobs and career advice are freely visible - for the " My StepStone " gives Internet users must, however, register for free.

StepStone also publishes regular studies, for example on the subject of content.

StepStone International
