Østerbros Boldklub

Østerbros Boldklub ( ØB ) was a Danish football club from the district of Copenhagen Østerbro. The club was re-founded on 1 September 1894 after an eponymous club was disbanded in 1893. The club was located at the old cement grandstand in Idrætsparken and wore his matches at the Fælledparken, the largest park in Østerbro. In 1998, he merged with Ryvang Fodbold Club to Østerbro IF.

History

The club first played in the city championship in Copenhagen, the strongest prior to discharge Danish championships from 1913 Regional Championship. A third place in the 1896/97 season was here the best result (in the early 1890s had the same predecessor club some better results ). In Denmark, the club championship is first registered in 1928, when the team was defeated with 3:9 Odense BK; 1940/41 and 1941/42, it qualified for the final round. There, the team held until the season 1949/50, when they descended last. The last third league game was in 1953 a 3-3 away against Vanløse IF.

After the merger with Ryvang FC to Østerbro IF on 10 September 1998 the new club played since 2006 /07 in the highest regional amateur league, the Danmark series, rose again, however, in the Copenhagen Regional. Games will be played in Klosterfælleden (aka Buret ) in Fælledparken.
