Sternocleidomastoid branch of superior thyroid artery

The Ramus sternocleidomastoid is an artery of the neck in humans. It arises from the external carotid artery, sometimes from the superior thyroid artery and supplies the same muscle ( sternocleidomastoid muscle ), partially also the neighboring muscles and skin of the corresponding neck region.
