Stetinden (Lom)

The Stetind located in the Jotunheimen mountains in Fylke Oppland. It marks the boundary between the municipalities of Lom and Luster. The west side of Stetind is marked by steep rock walls, all other pages are much flatter. Approx. preceded by one kilometer south is a 1985 m high nameless side peak. The southwest and southeast lie two smaller snowfields on the flanks of the mountain.

The most committed path leads from the east of the mountain on the lake Leirvatnet located refuge Leirvassbu (approx. 1400 m ) by the Gravdalen south past the 1885 m high Stehoe over the 1985 m high secondary summit and traverse to the highest point of the Stetind. This tour is one of the most popular hikes in the area. Even from the east, the mountain can be easily reached.
