Play

Characteristic of Morse's game is the accurate alternate picking technique ( alternate picking ). He suggests basically any sound very hard and fast runs at attenuating also still the strings with the palm of your hand from. He uses the alternate picking so consistently that he consistently strikes even in classical arpeggios, which are ideal for the sweep picking ( for example, " Tumeni Notes " by Steve Morse / " Cascades I'm Not Your Lover Now" by Deep Purple).

Very rarely he uses tapping or legato techniques, which he then but very concise plays off during use. His vibrato is very far and pretty fast. After fast runs which act at Steve Morse often as attempts at a touch down, he often reduces this target tone slightly to the side of the thumb, so that only you can hear a overtone. The clay material used by him during a guitar solo is based almost exclusively on the Mixolydian mode or the major pentatonic in conjunction with many chromatic passage tones.

Morse also used unusual playing techniques such as "chicken picking" or harp harmonics, to produce a variant richer sound spectrum. He also uses the volume pot in his guitar solos, to achieve a violin-like effect.
