Steve Porcaro
Steven Maxwell " Steve" Porcaro ( born September 2, 1957 in Hartford, Connecticut) is an American keyboardist, songwriter and film composer. He was a founding member of the Californian rock band Toto. He is the son of Joe Porcaro and the younger brother of Jeff Porcaro and Mike Porcaro.
Steve Porcaro began playing at the age of 5 years keyboard.
With Toto
Porcaro enjoyed great success as a member of the band Toto. In 1983, he received several Grammys with the band. 1988 Steve left the band, but also worked on the following studio albums with the band. So Porcaro was a visionary electronically generated music, which was still in its infancy, early 80s from today's perspective. He was the most experimental and visionary musician in the band, however, had an advocate regarding the use of new synthesizers and electronic gizmos within the aligned more to Rock Band just in keyboardist David Paich. He is considered one of the pioneers in popular use, the legendary synthesizer Yamaha CS -80, which he used in most of the songs in the early years of Toto or composed by him at the Michael Jackson hit Human Nature.
In the following years he devoted himself to more personal projects (especially film music), but worked as a sound designer and keyboard player at all so far subsequent albums the band. He was also involved in the published in February 2006 album Falling In Between at numerous songs. Since the Reunion 2010 Porcaro plays again with Toto on tour to support his seriously ill brother Mike.
Vocal performance
Steve Porcaro looks, looking, compared to the other band members, as a rather weak singer. After Toto

In addition Porcaro wrote to numerous films, the film music, including Hope ( 1997), Head Over Heels (2001 ) My First Mister (2001), without any way out ( Emmett 's Mark, 2002) and Montana Sky - The wide sky (2007).
Steve Porcaro was by Keyboard Magazine as a session player of the Year twice (English: Session Musician of the Year ) Award.
Private life
Steve Porcaro made in 1981 acquaintance with actress Rosanna Arquette, with whom he had a long, intense relationship below. Since 1998, he is married to Pam Porcaro. He has three children: Heather ( also a musician ), Dominic and Michaela.
