Steve Raines

Steve Raines ( born June 17, 1916 in Grants Pass, Oregon; † January 4, 1996 ) was an American actor.

Life

Raines began his acting career in 1947 with an undisclosed uncredited role in B-movie westerns Along the Oregon Trail; this was followed by numerous further illustrations of henchmen in B westerns, including on the side of " fuzzy " Al St. John. With Shane and the broken lance, although he played in the 1950s in major Hollywood productions, bigger roles, however, he did not get further. In 1952 he entered next to it in television series and presented, among others, in half a dozen episodes of The Roy Rogers Show different roles dar.

The U.S. television audience, he became known in 1959 for his portrayal of Jack Quince on the hit western series one thousand miles of dust. On the side of Eric Fleming and Clint Eastwood, he was seen until 1965 in 215 episodes of the series. After the end of one thousand miles of dust, however, he could not build on the success. He played until the mid-1970s some minor guest roles on such series as Bonanza, The Men from Shiloh Ranch and High Chaparral, then pulled back, however, from show business.
