Steve Wachalski

Steve Wachalski ( born February 5, 1983 in Köthen ) is a German professional basketball player. Since the season 2013/14 Wachalski plays at the Telekom Baskets Bonn.

Career

Wachalski grew up in Emsland in Lingen, played basketball. At age 18, he moved in 2001 to the regional to Osnabrück. In the National Basketball League 2003/ 04 Wachalski belonged briefly for four weeks the squad of top-flight climber Dragons from the neighboring Samtgemeinde Artland. In the team of coach Chris Fleming, it remained without use and returned to Osnabrück at the end of four weeks. In 2008 he went to the local club to the third-highest league ProB. As P4two Ballers was reached in the ProB 2008/09, a fifth place and earned the eligibility for the next higher division ProA. In the ProA 2009/10 the Movers reached a solid midfield position with the ninth. Then Wachalski was obliged by the second division champions and promoted from Bayreuth. In the National Basketball League 2010/11 we managed to avoid relegation, but Wachalskis operating time was limited to less than ten minutes per game.

For the ProA 2011/12 Wachalski joined the Premiership relegation means German BC from Weissenfels and he returned to Saxony- Anhalt, where he was born. With the club he managed the championship in this division and an immediate return to the top flight. With just under ten points and five rebounds per game good Wachalski was among the top performers of the team. With this club Wachalski is taking a renewed attempt to establish himself in the first basketball league. For the 2013/2014 season moved Wachalski within the league to the Telekom Baskets Bonn.
