Steve Williams (athlete)

Steve Williams ( born November 13, 1953) is an American sprinter who was active in the 1970s. Between 1972 and 1976 he ran the 100 meters in five handgestoppten 9.9 seconds.

He won three U.S. championships:

In the Olympic year of 1976, he was considered one of the favorites for the Olympic 100 - meter race. In the U.S. qualifying competitions for participation in the Olympic Games, but he was injured severely in an advance on both thighs and had to retire.
