Stian Sivertzen

Stian Sivertzen (* March 28, 1989 in Kongsberg ) is a Norwegian snowboarder.

The student since 1998, already in snowboard competitions in part, but only in 2003, when he also was able to achieve inclusion in the junior squad of the Norwegian national snowboard in addition to participation in the first international competition, he managed to break through. A year later, however, had for bad economic situation, some snowboarders leave the junior team, also Sivertzen.

At the end of the 2006/07 season Sivertzen succeeded after good results in his first FIS race of the jump in the senior team, for which he went to the start at the 2007 World Championships and three World Cup races in his specialist discipline snowboard cross. While he did not it past at the World Championships on the 31 rank, he reached the fifth place already in his third World Cup. In April 2007 Sivertzen solution has also been junior world champion and awarded after the season as a rookie of the year.

Also in the 2007/ 08 season took Sivertzen part in the World Cup and won the first World Cup race in Valle Nevado. Just three days later he repeated his podium and there was second. Overall, he succeeded in that season with a World Cup win and two second places in the second place in the snowboard cross and the eighth in the World Cup. However, his Junior World Championship title he could not defend in ninth.

In the 2008/ 09 season Sivertzen started again successful with a second rank.
