Stijn Streuvels

Stijn Streuvels was the pseudonym of the prolific Flemish writer Frank Lateur ( born October 3, 1871 in Heule, Kortrijk one belonging to the village; † 15 August 1969 Ingooigem, a borough of Anzegem ). His works deal mainly with the fate of poor farmers in Flanders. He received the title of Honorary Doctor at the University of Leuven, Munster and Pretoria.
