Stjarnan

UMF Stjarnan ( long: Ungmennafélagid Stjarnan ) is an Icelandic football club from Gardabær, a suburb of Reykjavík.

History

It was founded in 1960. The men's division played in 1997 in the island's first league (then Landsbankadeild ) and managed the 2006 re-emergence in the second highest Icelandic league. 2008 men reached the summit and as you play in the Pepsideild since 2009.
