Stjepan Deverić

Stjepan Deverić ( born August 20, 1961 in Velika Gorica ) is a former Yugoslav- Croatian football player.

Career

Deverić began his career in 1979 at Dinamo Zagreb. It was at this time Yugoslavian Champion and twice Yugoslav Cup winner. During his time in Zagreb, he was appointed to the Yugoslav national team for the World Cup 1982 in Spain, where he was not used. In the European Football Championship in 1984 in France (Yugoslavia difference in the group stage ) Deverić has been deployed. In the same year he won the Yugoslav team the bronze medal at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

In 1984 he moved to Hajduk Split, where he was a Yugoslav Cup winner. From 1987 to 1991 he was again at Dinamo Zagreb under contract. In 1991, he went to Austria for SK Sturm Graz. In 1993, he hung one more year in the Styrian League at SV Lebring. Then Deverić ended his career.

After his playing career he coached nor NK Zagorec, HNK Segesta, NK Marsonia and HŠK Zrinjski Mostar, as well as in the Dinamo Zagreb football school.
