The Stonávka ( German and Polish Stonawka ) is a left tributary of the Olsa in the Czech Republic.

Course

The Stonávka rises on the northwest slope of the Kotar (906 m) in the Moravian- Silesian Beskids. Your headwaters leads north through a deep wooded valley between the cupel (872 m ), the Prašivá (843 m) and the Kyčera ( 768 m ) in which the settlement Stonávka extends. At the western foot of the Godula Stonávka enters the Beskidenvorland and flows over Komorní Lhotka, Hliníky, Poloniny and Hnojník to Horni Třanovice. There, the Cerny takes the Stonávka right side creek, via which their of Střítež from using a water duct and water are supplied from the Ropičanka. From this confluence the river changes its course to the northwest and flows over Dolni Třanovice, Zadky, Susow, Hradiště, Vrazidlo, Lesní and Rozsudek to Těrlicko where it is jammed in the dam Těrlicko. The estuary is protected as a nature reserve Těrlické mokřady.

Between Pacalůvka and Dolni Těrlicko the Stonávka leaves the lake to the north. Along its course lie Červenky, Bělehrad, Zámostí, Albrechtice, Důlský, Holkovice, Hořany, Stonava, Dolany, Krivý Dul, Bonkov, Stavy, Lipiny, Ovcarna, the coal mine Dul Darkov and Nový Dvůr. After 33.2 kilometers, the Stonávka opens between Sovinec and Fryštát on the western outskirts of Karviná in Karviná coal mining area in the Olsa.
