Strange Clouds (album)
Strange Clouds ( Strange Clouds) is the second studio album by American rapper BoB It was published on 1 May 2012 on the Grand Hustle Records label, Rebel Rock Entertainment and Atlantic Records. Guest musicians on the album include Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, TI, Nicki Minaj, Ryan Tedder, Lauriana Mae, Playboy Tre, Trey Songz, Nelly and Roscoe Dash.
Background
On 27 September 2011 Online Streaming appeared on radio station V -103 WVEE in Atlanta Video by BoB, where he campaigned for his lead single Strange Clouds. In this video he also announced the title of the album, Strange Clouds, that should appear in early 2012. 15 November 2011 BoB announced that he before the album release a mixtape titled EPIC Wanted to publish (Every Play Is Crucial ). The mixtape was released on 28 November 2011. Guest musicians on the mixtape include Eminem, Mos Def, Roscoe Dash, Meek Mill and Bun B. The two Items What Are We Doing and Guest List from the mixtape are on the deluxe edition of the album included.
The album should appear on 13 February 2012, but BoB was on 9 February 2012 via a tweet announced that the release has been postponed to May 1. BoB was working as usual with producers Jim Jonsin and Dr. Luke, that already the hit singles Magic and Strange Clouds produced among others. In an interview with Rap -Up Jim Jonsin spoke about the upcoming album: " We recorded five songs, including two really good like me. One of the shots has a reggae atmosphere, hip- hop with reggae. I think it is a possible single release. "
Singles
The first single Strange Clouds with Lil Wayne appeared on September 27, 2011. Production was orchestrated by Dr. Luke and Cirkut. In the first week of the title in the United States has sold over 197,000 times and debuted at # 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, the single was certified platinum. The second single So Good was released on 21 February 2012, the piece was written by BoB, and Ryan Tedder. In the United States the title reached number 11 in the singles charts. In the UK, the title debuted at position 7, the third single from Both of Us by Taylor Swift appeared in May 2012.
