Streets is a municipality with 825 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Lienz ( East Tyrol ) of the federal state of Tyrol ( Austria ).

Roads located in the Val Pusteria in the alluvial fan of the Thurn creek, which flows into the Drava River. The municipality is formed by several hamlets, all located north of the Drava. Districts are Heising, Unterbichl, stream, streets, Messensee, yard, Tassenbach, Fronstadel and Hintenburg. Parts of Bach, Tassenbach and yard are well south of the Drava River. The municipality is located in the judicial district of Lienz.

Geography

The local roads is a big dispersed settlement, which lies partly in the valley, partly in sun- side slope. It consists of only a few individual farms, but from nine hamlets ( fractions): roads, Messensee, Fronstadel, Hintenburg, mountain, this Heising, stream, yard, Tassenbach.

History

The legend says that in Roman times the slope of the valley floor before roads ( Heisinger height ) did not exist and therefore you could see unhindered by Sillian to the area of today's Abfaltersbach. This former level there was the great and wealthy Roman settlement called Messa. A found on the main road Roman milestone and the name Roman tunnel suggest.
