Střítež nad Bečvou

Střítež nad Bečvou ( German Strietesch ) is a municipality in the Moravian Wallachia in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers east of Valašské Meziříčí or west of Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and belongs to Okres Vsetín.

Geography

Střítež nad Bečvou extends to the northwest of Wsetiner mountain country in the valley of the brook Bokšinec at the confluence of Rakovec. The village lies on the edge of the nature reserve PLA Beskykdy. To the north of the Pohor ( 455 m) and the Lipůvka collected ( 448 m ) in the east of Hradisko ( 522 m), the Vápenka ( 523 m) and Úlehle ( 466 m ) southeast of the Hostýnské (416 M), in the south of U Javora (573 m), southwest of the Vrchhůra ( 692 m) and in the northwest of the Na Hrádcích (344 m). North of the village runs along the right bank of the Rožnovská Bečva the European route 442/Staatsstraße I/35 between Krasno nad Bečvou and Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, dahiner the railway line 281 Valašské Meziříčí - Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The local train stop Střítež nad Bečvou located one kilometer outside the village at Hamry.

Neighboring towns are Jaština, Prachovna and Hamry in the north, Zubří in the northeast, Na Háji, Hradisko and Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in the east, Vidče and Videčské Paseky the southeast, Střítežské Paseky V Javoří, Fatůrky and Velka Lhota in the south, V Sojově and Malá Lhota in the southwest, and Dolansko Vesela in the west and Loučky and Zašová in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Olomouc diocese the associated village Strzietez was 1376. In 1389, the place was as Strites and 1396 called Střítežík. At the beginning of the 16th century the village was connected to the rule Meziříčí - Rožnov. In 1505 the town was called thereby Strzitez. 1548 acquired by the Counts Zierotin possession. The village consisted of 36 houses in 1636. The oldest town seal is from 1731. Between 1777 and 1781 known in Strzitez on the basis of likely in the Catholic Malá Lhota fake Tolerance Patent 99 families to Protestantism. Residents of the village lived on the land word stem. The first school was opened in 1838. Until the mid- 19th century the village was always subservient to Rožnov and was mostly called Střítež pod Rožnovem.

After the abolition of patrimonial Střítež / Strietesch formed in 1849 a municipality in the district team Meziříčí. In 1882, the school moved into a newly erected school buildings. The railway station " Střítež nad Bečvou " on the railway line Valašské Meziříčí - Rožnov pod Radhoštěm was inaugurated in 1892. 1897 a post office was established in Střítež. Since 1921, the municipality takes the official name Střítež nad Bečvou, before she was called Střítež u Rožnova. At the beginning of the 1940s founded Antonín Trček a synthetic leather factory with over 100 employees. This was nationalized and decommissioned after the takeover by the Communists in 1948. After the abolition of Okres Valašské Meziříčí the community was in 1960 assigned to the Okres Vsetín. At the beginning of 1985, the village was incorporated into Zašová. The lessons in Střítež was stopped in 1986 and then vice use is the schoolhouse for kindergarten. School places are today Vidče and Zašová. 1991 Střítež broke again from Zašová. Since 2000, the municipality performs a coat of arms.
