Stropkov District

The Okres Stropkov ( German Stroppkau district ) is an administrative unit in eastern Slovakia with a population of 20,902 (2004) and an area of 389 km ².

Historically, the district is located for the most part in the former county Semplin ( East), a small part in the northwest to the places Duplin, Tisinec, Krušinec, Výškovce, Vislava, Oľšavka, Gribov and Kožuchovce in the former county Sáros (see also List of historic counties Hungary ).
