Stuck in the Middle with You

Stuck in the Middle is a song that comes from the band Stealers Wheel. It was written by Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty. Stealers Wheel was the first brititsche band that won the American success team Leiber / Stoller as producers. The debut LP contained the Stealers Wheel also produced by Leiber / Stoller title Stuck In the Middle With You, which was coupled as a single in February 1973 and implemented over a million copies. They finally managed to number six on the U.S. charts and eighth of the UK pop charts.

The song is about a man who was sitting next to a girl with whom he is in love. He would have a chance with her, but he is too nervous to use it.

The song was used in the soundtrack of the 1992 film Reservoir Dogs by Quentin Tarantino. There he is placed underneath a movie scene in which a gangster (played by Michael Madsen ) prancing tortures a policeman.
