A Garçonnière (French garçon " bachelor " ) is a one room apartment. The term is commonly used, especially in Austria.

A Garçonnière has typically referred to a single living room and a small hall with kitchen and toilet facilities, in advertisements as " room / kitchen ". Sometimes has a Garçonnière in a classic tenement a toilet in the corridor, which is shared with other parties.

Sometimes it is a rather small, but well equipped with all the apartment is called Garçonnière. The quality or price range an apartment so this does not exactly determine.
