Študlov (Vsetín District)

Študlov ( German Studlow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 21 kilometers south-east of Vsetín on the border with Slovakia and belongs to Okres Vsetín.

Geography

Študlov is located at the foot of Požár ( 791 m) in the far north of the White Carpathians in the transition to the Javorníky and Vizovická Highlands. Northeast of the village lies the Lissa pass. To the north rises the Stráň (607 m ) east of the Cibulka ( 636 m) and in the southeast of the border mountain Končitá ( 817 m).

Neighboring towns are Střelná in the north, Strelenka in the northeast, and Pasecky Paseky in the east, Nedašova Lhota in the south, Poteč the southwest, Valašské Příkazy in the west and Horni Lideč in the northwest.

History

Študlov 1422 was first mentioned in a charter of Emperor Sigismund as Ščudlov, in which the Emperor together with Bylnice, Štítná and Maly and Velky Lačnov Lačnov the Miroslav of Cimburg attributed to the place. The village belonged to the rule Brumov and was sold with this in 1503 by Vladislav II to Jan of Lomnitz on Meseritsch. In the 17th and 18th century, the Moravian village on the border with Hungary was repeatedly invaded by the Turks and the last of the kuruc. In the division of the reign Brumov Študlov fell in the mid-17th century to the reign Návojná, in the place remained until the abolition of patrimonial regimes in 1848. The residents of Študlov rose in 1805 against the always become larger yoke of obligations to the authorities. The uprising was put down with the help of the military. Študlov remained a poor village, whose inhabitants cumbersome subsisted on agriculture. In the second half of the 19th century, the need was so great that much of the population emigrated to America. The remaining in place residents improved their livelihoods through the production of shingles and wooden tools.

Last feudal lord in 1848, Wolfgang Ritter von Mannerheim. 1942, the village was electrified. By 1945, included the goods to the place of family cwt - men.
