The storm is a mountain 770 meters above sea level. NHN high elevation in the Upper Swabian hills on a ridge of Linzgaus. The survey is on the boundaries of the municipalities Ostrach and Illmensee in the district of Sigmaringen (Baden- Württemberg).

Residential places

On the Storm Mountain are two living spaces:

• The houses in the Storm Mountain: They belong to the district Ruschweiler, in the municipality of Illmensee.
• The farm Sturmberg: It belongs to the district castle hamlet, in the municipality of Ostrach and was named in 1300 on the Stursberg (hall name? ).

History

Not far from the summit is located since 1995 belonging to the municipality Illmensee wind farm storm mountain with three 60 -meter wind turbines.

The summit area was redesigned in April 2010. There are now a 5.20 -meter corridor eichenes cross, a resting bench and a boulder of more than two meters in length and width.
