Styria Media Group

The Styria Media Group AG, or Styria, is named after the Austrian radio and print media in addition to the group one of the largest media groups in Austria.

The company, whose best-known media are the daily newspapers Kleine Zeitung and Die Presse is also active internationally. Especially in Slovenia and Croatia, the Group holds investments in broad-reach media.

History

The company was created in the Diocese of Graz- Seckau from the Catholic Preßverein founded in 1869. This team wanted to take the public interest journalistic tasks in a Christian spirit and promote, as it was called in a later policy text. The operation of the Preßvereinsanstalten was taken on January 1, 1870 with the opening of the club book printing. Management

To Styria include nine days newspapers, 17 weekly newspapers, 20 magazines, 16 customer magazines ( MCA), 14 regional magazines, 40 magazines in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia ( Adria Media ), two Supplements, 15 online services, two radio stations, a TV station and eight book publishers such as Styria, Pichler, Carinthia, publishing Ingenium, Graz, the Kneipp publisher and the publisher Vecernjakova knjiga, Zagreb.
