Su Song

Su Song (Chinese苏颂/苏颂, Pinyin Su Song; Zirong zi子 容, Zǐróng; * 1020 near Quanzhou, † 1101) was a Chinese polymath, in particular as an inventor, engineer, cartographer, astronomer, mineralogist, zoologist, poet and Ambassador worked. His most important invention was a water-driven astronomical clock mix, which had an inhibition and a chain drive and have been prepared in Kaifeng. Through this mechanism, Su Song has also written a book.
