Suad Filekovič (born 16 September 1978) is a Slovenian football player.

Career

Filekovič began his professional career at Olimpija Ljubljana before he was first taken in 1999 by NK Maribor, the most successful Slovenian Club, under contract. It was followed by four successful seasons with Slovenian giants before moving to Hajduk Split in 2003. His two-year stint in Croatia followed shorter engagements at Ergotelis in the Greek Super League, Excelsior Mouscron in Belgium and Krylia Sovetov Samara in Russia before Filekovič returned in the summer of 2007 to Maribor. After winning another Slovenian championship in the 2008/ 09 season, the defender decided to move to the English second division side FC Barnsley. It did not take long, agreed to Filekovič with the English club a premature termination of the contract and returned on 23 October 2009 to NK Maribor.

His first cap for Slovenia denied Filekovič on 21 August 2002 against Italy. The left-back with Slovenia qualified for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
