Submodalities (album)

Submodality means a qualitative breakdown of the five sensory systems ( the so-called sensory modalities ) in neuro-linguistic programming.

The combination and sequence of the form according to NLP submodalities the basic building blocks of subjective experience.

Analog and Digital

Sub modalities can be divided into analog and digital properties. Analog sub-properties are measured continuously and changeable. Examples include the brightness, contrast, size and the distance of internal visual images ( each of these sub-properties can be changed on a scale: an image might be lighter or darker). Digital sub-properties are only discontinuously changed. Examples are the distinctions according dissociated / associated, localized / holistic body sensation or auditory processing by tonal / digital ( for example, reading and auditory- internal processing this " digital " non- tonal text).

Emotional coding

According to Richard Bandler ( NLP founder ) submodalities encode the emotional ( subjective ) importance of remembered as constructed ( projected into the future ) experiences. Likewise, by means of submodalities between past and future ( imagined) experiences will internally differentiated and because of the individual emotional links have the (individual ) nature of the submodalities encoding importance to intrinsic motivation ( and thus for planning and quality) of subsequent action (s).
