Subordinationism

The subordinationism is a teaching of early Christianity, according to the views in the context of Trinitarian God the Son in the sense of creaturely origin God the Father is subordinate. It was founded by Dionysius of Alexandria, pupil of Origen.

The doctrine was opposed by the namesake of the founder of Pope Dionysius. It is considered by a number of Christian churches as heresy and made especially in the Catholic Church during the 1st Council of Nicaea 325 for disputes. The move away from subordinationism in the old church is clear on the confession of Nicaea.
