Success Will Write Apocalypse Across the Sky (Eng. about success will write apocalypse across the sky, briefly SWWAATS ) is a Death Grind band from Tampa, Florida (USA). It was founded in 2006 and is currently signed with Nuclear Blast Records.
Band History
The two guitarists Aaron Haines and Ian Sturgill, singer John Collett and bassist Jesse Jolly founded the band in late 2006, and soon took that produced by the Paths of Possession drummer Nick Goodyear EP Subhuman Empire on which they released in July 2007.
In December 2007, the band signed with Nuclear Blast a record deal and began writing songs for the debut album. Meanwhile, also changed the line-up: Jen Muse ( Keyboard) and Chris Woodall ( bass) joined the band, but still before the recordings left Woodall and drummer Mike Petrak, the band again. Matt Simpson ( bass) and Mike Heller ( drums) replaced the two. This band played a debut album The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry, which is already in mid-2008 produces finished by the former Death, Obituary and Testament guitarist James Murphy, but published only in April 2009. Drummer J. R. Daniels finally broke even from the the contracted only for the album recordings Mike Heller.
Style
The lyrics of the band treat nihilistic themes and the themes of hatred. A conspicuous feature of the song is the choice of each title. It is not uncommon to fairly long titles that do not arise at first glance a lot of sense ( " Of Worms, Jesus Christ, and Jackson County Missouri ", in German: " From worms, Jesus Christ, and Jackson County Missouri ").
The music moves between Death Metal and Grindcore, so it can be assigned to the so-called Death Grind. The band focuses on fast riffs and equally fast drumming, blast beats are played frequently and used the double bass. Well represented are also short two-part, dissonant guitar parts (see Slayer ).
Band name
The band's name comes from the 1989 written by William S. Burroughs text Apocalypse and to testify that the progress and success of mankind suppresses the earth and continuously destroyed, which will have in the long run inevitably end of the world ( Apocalypse ) result.
