Suchy Dwór, Lower Silesian Voivodeship

Suchy Dwór ( German Althofdürr ) is a village in the municipality Żórawina ( Rothsürben ) in Poland. The village is situated about 5 kilometers south of Breslau ( Wrocław).

History

Althofdürr belonged from 1874 to the District Schönborn ( today Żerniki Wrocławskie ).

At the turn of the 19th to the 20th century, the manor was in Althofdürr Julius Schott countries, the wealthiest citizens of Wroclaw. He also included the villages or goods, Wessig (now Wysoka ), green Hubel (now as Bledzów part of the village Bielany Wrocławskie, German beggars ), Alt Schliesa ( Stary Ślęszów ), Ecker Village ( Biestrzyków ), Karow ancestor ( Karwiany ) Cawallen ( Kowale, now part of Wroclaw ), and land in Wroclaw settlements Kleinburg ( Borek ) and Oltaschin ( Oltaszyn ).

From the 30s of the 20th century, until 1945, the estate was owned by Althofdürr Erhard Milch. Althofdürr counted 1939 154 inhabitants.

1945 was the place as Suchy Dwór to Poland and to the extent they were not already fled from the Red Army, the German inhabitants were expelled. In the same year met their place displaced persons from the former Polish eastern territories one who took the part of the village between the good and the road Wroclaw Żórawina. In July 1947, settlers came from the room Przeworsk, mainly from the village Medynia Kańczucka by Suchy Dwór and took over the building of the good, both the castle and the workers' houses.
