Sucre Department

The Departamento de Sucre is an administrative region in the north of Colombia. It is bordered to the east by the department of Bolívar and to the west of Cordoba. To the north lies the Atlantic Ocean.

The main economic activity is cattle breeding. In agriculture, primarily tobacco, cotton, corn, yams, sorghum, yuca and bananas are grown. Significant natural resources are petroleum and natural gas. The industry is underdeveloped. It outweigh artisanal small businesses.
