Sue S. Dauser

Sue Sophia Dauser ( born September 20, 1888 in Anaheim, California, † March 11, 1972 ) was a nurse and superintendent Navy Nurse Corps of the U.S. Navy.

Dauser graduated in 1914 at the California School of Nursing as a nurse. In September 1917, Dauser volunteered for the Navy and served during World War II in the Naval Base Hospital Number 3 in Scotland. There was also little later appointed to Chief Nurse. Later it was used, among other things in the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego, California and on various warships. Between 1920 - 1923 to Dauser care of the critically ill U.S. President Warren G. Harding.

1939 Dauser was appointed Superintendent Navy Nurse Corps and promoted to captain. In November 1945 Dauser was transferred to active duty to retirement. On March 11, 1972 Captain Sue Sophia Dauser died at the age of 84 years.
