Suippe
The river in Pontfaverger - Moronvilliers
The Suippe is a river in France, which runs in Champagne -Ardenne and Picardy. It rises in the town of Somme- Suippe, drained generally in a northwesterly direction and flows after 82 kilometers at Condé- sur- Suippe as a left tributary of the Aisne. Just before the mouth passes under the Suippe the Lateral Canal à l' Aisne. On their way they touched the departments of Marne and Aisne.
Catchment area
The river has a catchment area of 837 km ². Of these, approximately 2.5% are cultivated, almost 83 % is used for agriculture and about 15.5 % of the catchment form forests and natural areas. The proportion of wetlands and water areas is negligible.
