Suizhou

Suizhou (随州市; Pinyin: Suizhou Shì ) is a prefecture -level city in the Chinese province of Hubei. Suizhou has an area of ​​9636 km ² and 2,560,000 inhabitants around ( end of 2009).

Origin of Suizhou City

Divided in 1949, the new government of the People's Republic of China, the historical district of Sui (随 县) in two circles on, Sui and Hongshan (洪山 县). In 1955 they were united under the name " Sui " again. 1979 two large municipalities were carved out of the circle and made ​​them an administrative district in Suizhou.
