Sułkowice
Sułkowice is a city in the powiat Myślenicki in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, Poland. It is also the seat of the homonymous urban and rural community.

Geography
Sułkowice is located 27 km south of Krakow and has an area of 16.46 km ². Through the town flows the Harbutówka.
History
To 1939
The first mention of Sułkowice dates from the year 1325 but a settlement must have been in existence since 1326 been a parish is mentioned. An initial population is from the year 1340 and is indicated at 150.
1939 to today
On September 4, 1939 Sułkowice was occupied by the Wehrmacht. Right at the beginning, 22 people were executed from Rudnik, a village of the municipality. In a criminal action in 1941, 26 people were once executed. In January 1945, the Wehrmacht was expelled from Sułkowice.
1969 Sułkowice received its town charter.
From 1975-1998 the city belonged to the Cracow Province.

Geography
The municipality has a surface area of 60.53 km ² of which 51% is used for agriculture and 36 % is forested.
The town is surrounded from north clockwise as seen from the communities Myślenice, Skawinki and Lanckorona.

Education
The community Sułkowice has 7 kindergartens ( Przedszkole ), 5 primary schools ( szkoła podstawowa ) and 2 middle schools ( gimnazjum ). Some of the facilities are located in four school Zentrenen.
