Originally the mouth of the aspic was further north, at the port aspic in Magdeburg- Buckau. As part of the temporarily strong industrial use of the Elbe River, the mouth was moved. However, there are plans to make the original course again. 1838 had Maschinenfabrik Buckau purchased land near the old mouth and initially made the aspic 1839/40 from the mouth to the factory premises navigable. 1926, shipbuilding had been abandoned, the aspic was channeled in the lower reaches in the work area of the machine factory.

In the 18th century, the mouth was still further north. This is how a lexicon from 1741 that Sulte flowed through the monastery mountains where then led the jack in the creek. The aspic led below the monastery mountains into the Elbe. Today, the jack has its own Elbe estuary.

The battle should have been obtained from the Hermunduren. However, the site of the battle is ultimately unclear. Also various other rivers and areas for this purpose are considered.

On April 22, 1829 the Buckenauer cantor Johann Andreas drowned peoples in the brawn. His body was found on April 23, 1829. He was, after which he held the office since 1806, has been with the accusation that he had given to drink, deposed. The release of the complete dismissal should be notified to him on 25 April.
