Sun Caged

Sun Caged is a Dutch progressive metal band from Sittard, which was founded in 1999.

History

The band was founded in the spring of 1999. The band was originally conceived as a studio project, but this changed when the band Lemur Voice guitarist Marcel Coenen band, disbanded in 2000. By 2002, several demos were released, so that the band reached a contract with the Finnish label Lion Music. Publish in Japan they decided on Marquee / Avalon. The album was mixed by Arjen Lucassen. The recordings took place in early 2003, the publication was followed on October 22. After appearances followed along with Vanden Plas and Queensrÿche. In March 2007, followed by the second album Artemisia. In 2011 came the third album called The Lotus Effect.

Style

The band plays progressive metal, which is compared with the music of Symphony X. Especially characteristic is the clear vocals.
