Sunburst Award

The Sunburst Award for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic (short: Sunburst Award ) is a 2001 launched the called Canadian Literature Prize. The award was named after Phyllis Gotliebs debut novel " Sunburst "; Phyllis Gottlieb is one of the first contemporary Canadian SF writers whose works were published. As a prize, there are more than 1,000 Canadian dollars as well as a medallion with a designed specifically for the Sunburst Award logo. The winners will be determined by a jury. The award ceremony is held each fall. The date specified in the Sunburst Award corresponds to the year in which the prize was awarded.
