Sunda, Faroe Islands
The municipal Sunda is a commune of the Faroe Islands on the west coast Eysturoys.

The municipality takes its name from the Sound Sundini separates the two largest Faroese Islands Streymoy and Eysturoy each other. At the same time here is the bridge that connects the two islands. On 1 January 2005, the Sunda was with the local municipal Saksun, Haldarsvík, Hósvík, Hvalvík ( Streymoy ) and Gjógv ( Eysturoy ) merged.
