Suruga Trough

The Suruga - ditch (Japanese駿河 トラフ, Suruga - torafu ) lies off the coast of Suruga Bay in Japan. The trench is the continuation of the Nankai trench. The trench is formed by the subduction of the Philippine Sea plate under heavier the Amurplatte.
