Susan Jacoby

Susan Jacoby ( born June 4, 1945) is an American writer and journalist. It is considered a dedicated advocate of secularism and atheism.

Life

Jacoby was raised Catholic and only found out his father's side with the end 20 of their Jewish roots. With this fact, she sat down later in Half- Jew: A Daughter 's Search for Her Family 's Buried Past ( 2000) apart. She graduated in 1965 at Michigan State University. Jacoby began her career at the Washington Post and later worked for many well-known U.S. newspapers. Her work Wild Justice: The Evolution of Revenge ( 1984) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. In her work, The Age of Unreason American ( 2008), she deals with anti-intellectualism in the United States. Jacoby lives in New York and is program director of the local branch of the Center for Inquiry.
